Join Psychologist, Dr. Marla McMahon, for a mindfulness intensive workshop to reduce the stress and anxiety of these busy times. Using principles of neuroscience, psychology, mindfulness, and yoga; you will be led through an introduction to mindfulness, mindfulness for stress and anxiety, mindfulness of the senses, and learn practical tools for stress reduction. The workshop will conclude with a calming restorative pose and meditation to soothe the nervous system.

Spring Restorative: Yin, Restorative Yoga & Hot Stones

Yin and Restorative Yoga are slow-paced practices. They help calm the mind and nervous system, enable you to turn inward, focus on the breath and deeply relax your mind and body.
During this renewing workshop, you will be guided through a gentle yin and restorative yoga practice followed by thirty minutes of deep conscious relaxation (Yoga Nidra). Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that systematically guides and relaxes you at every level of being. While in supported savasana (corpse pose) you will be guided through the yoga nidra meditation practice of total body relaxation, breath awareness, and a guided visualization. Hot river stones will be offered to deepen your relaxation in the yin and restorative poses.

Divine Relaxation: Restorative Yoga with Hot Stones and Yoga Nidra
To welcome in the Spring season, join Dr. Marla for a relaxing and deeply restorative evening to reduce stress and increase calm. In this workshop you will be led through a mindful self-care practice to replenish and relax the nervous system. Using principles of neuroscience, mindfulness, and restorative yoga; you will be guided through a calming practice.
The evening will include restorative yoga poses to relax and release tension. Several of the restorative poses will include hot stones placed on the body. Tibetan sound bowls and other sacred sounds will enhance the relaxation. The evening will end with the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra.Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, and dress comfortably. No yoga or meditation experience is necessary.
