It is said that approximately 80-90% of visits to the doctor are stress related. As stress is a part of everyday life, it is vital to learn valuable tools for stress relief.
The Mindfulness Intensive is a workshop for Stress and Anxiety Relief inspired by the MBSR program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Using principles of neuroscience, psychology, mindfulness, and yoga; you will be led through an introduction to mindfulness, mindfulness for stress and anxiety, mindfulness of the senses, and learn practical tools for stress and anxiety reduction. The workshop will conclude with a calming restorative yoga pose and meditation to sooth the nervous system.
*Includes a take home meditation practice.
Requirements: Please wear comfortable, loose clothing. Bring a pillow and light blanket.
No prior meditation experience needed.
